Bonjour....
Welcome to Vintage Charmings

We forever appreciate your visit.

At Vintage Charmings, our focus is on seeking, acquiring and selling vintage papers. Our specialty is vintage postcards, papers, magazines and journals, music, documents, and books from France.

Kate Murray, founder of Vintage Charmings attends markets, auctions, and brocantes thoughout France on a weekly basis to find image interesting treasures for her clients who are mostly collage and mixed-media artists and card designers with a healthy sprinkling of collectors and interior designers.

A majority of her seeking is personalized to her client's needs. Kate has the eye to find what the artist, designer, or collector is looking for.

Kate focuses her attention to post cards that were mailed between 1900 and 1930's, when it was vogue to send post cards to family and friends for all occasions. To see a selection of the lovely post cards Kate has acquired, please go to Vintage Charmings' La Galerie. Since all of these post cards are authentic (one of a kind), if you are interested in a choice please let Kate know as soon as possible. There is a chance that it could be already reserved, that is the only reason that you need to wait for a confirmation before you can pay for your purchase.

Kate would love to hear from you. Please let her know the types of "Charmings" you are looking for, and she will let you know what she can do for you.

Thank you for sharing some time with us. We hope to see you again.

Vintage Charmings is now offering the premier French decoupage papers and glue from Decopatch.

See the papers that are available on the Decoupage page.

"Kate's Picks"

new from

Vintage Charmings
"Every time I go hunting for treasure I find a group of images that make my day. Usually what I do is inventory them, then put them in a box or on a shelf under a special category waiting for a time when I feature that theme. After doing this for many years, I have a lovely collection of post cards and ephemera that might not ever be seen except at a show because I don't have enough to put online.

We'll I decided it was a new day and I am going to have a page called Kate's Picks for treasures that I want to get to you as soon as I find them. Remember, these are one of a kind and don't stay long in my care, if you are interested, please let me know as soon as you can.

Enjoy my new page!"

"Naughty, But Nice"

Continues ....

A fascinating collection of ladies from the shows of the Moulin Rouge and other outrageous establishments of the time. This collection also contains ladies who love to get into trouble one way or another.

"As long as I can find these treasures at a reasonable price I will maintain this collection."---Kate

Continue to enjoy the ladies, their costumes, and adventures of "Naughty, But Nice."

Picture Perfect

"It has taken me a while to acquire this collection. Old photographs are collector's items here in France so the prices are high. I needed to find places where I could get them at a reasonable price.
I love photographs of real people more that model posed ones even if the models are "more beautiful." There is a special quality in real photographs, a texture that professional posed models can't give us.
I rarely do art with people as the subject, I prefer birds or flowers but I do love these photographs and use these images when I want to bring a human dimension to a piece I'm working on."
